The drought is bringing out the best and the worst in human nature, according to those working in front line drought assistance.

The Country Women’s Association and the Country Mayors Associations both say there is increasing disunity in communities with water shortages and have called for people to ‘stick together’.

Both organisations have appealed to politicians not to use the water crisis for political point-scoring.
