In what was a much anticipated game, the Morrall’s Bakery Cup Cricket Grand Final lived up to all expectations. It was a cracking day at Davidson Oval as the crowd rolled in and the spectators weren’t disappointed.
Fords Bridge won the toss and chose to bat first. Brad Cross and Matt Sheridan opened the batting for Fordsy and Cross lasted one over before a cracker of a ball from Chad Taylor got through Cross and clean bowled him for one run.
Michael Marshman (2) came and went after being caught behind off the bowling of Brendan Shailes. Phil Cross (2) stuck around for 6 over before being caught by a flying Kurt Dickson behind the stumps off the bowling of Taylor.
