From Nyngan to Nashville

It’s a long way from Nyngan to Nashville but for local singer songwriter Jonno Read, the journey has opened doors to an ambition he’s held since high school.

Jonno has just released his first single and video, Walk Together, with interest for more of his material coming from the United States and the promise of a life as a professional musician.

It is a dream that was almost dashed in his teens, when his music teacher at Nyngan High School left and music was scrapped from the school timetable. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
