The Rural Fire Service has launched an online tribute to support Bourke rural firefighter boss Craig Warwick, who lost his wife Louise suddenly last week.
Fellow firefighters across the state have posted images and videos of their units standing in solidarity for their ‘brother’ Craig.
Craig has endured more than his share of heartbreak.
In 2013 his son Alex, also a Rural Fire Service volunteer, died in a road accident at North Bourke.
The tribute has been supported by RFS branches across the state, at Dubbo, Berrigan, Eumungerie and beyond.
“Please help support our fellow firefighter brother Craig Warwick in his time of need by posting a short video of support or a picture in RFS uniform at your local fire shed, with your helmet under your left arm closest to the heart, along with right hand over your heart,” the post read.
“Thank you all so much for helping and showing your support for this amazing father, mate and RFS volunteer for so many years. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
