All roads lead to Bourke later this month when Bourke Shire Council hosts the Western Division Conference.

There will be representatives from sixteen Western NSW Councils and representatives of a number of State and Federal agencies attending. Up to 150 delegates have registered, one of the largest turnouts ever.

Councils attending include Western Division members Balranald, Bourke, Broken Hill, Central Darling, Cobar, Walgett and Wentworth together with Gilgandra, Warren, Carrathool, Bogan, Coonamble, Warrumbungles, Brewarrina, Moree Plains and Mid-Western Regional Council based in Mudgee.

There has been one disappointment however, with Deputy Premier John Barilaro pulling out of his commitment to attend. Minister for Primary Industries and Water Niall Blair will deputise for the Deputy Premier and officially open the conference. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
