Bourke will soon have a brand new business keeping alive the vibrant meeting place that once was Little Birdy.
The much-loved cafe and giftwares shop officially closes after Christmas but in February, the doors will open on a new lease of life – as Knight’s Delights.
The new proprietor is Bourke resident Kristy Knight, who will make some big changes to the business but aims to keep the friendly meeting place alive as a vital part of the Wharf precinct.
“When I heard Little Birdy was closing I thought ‘Oh no!’ because like so many other mums in Bourke it was my little haven, just a lovely place to go and sit with friends,” Kristy said.
