Bourke is about to welcome a new face in town — June Saint, who takes over from John Beer as the new Rural Financial Services Counsellor.
John leaves for his new role in Forbes next week and June will waste no time getting to know Bourke and the issues facing landholders and others who rely on the rural sector.
It’s a tough time for everyone during such dry conditions but June has the experience to take on the job, according to the CEO of the RFCS, Jeff Caldwell.
“We are very excited to have June on our team and I am confident she will fill the very big shoes of John Beer once she gets to Bourke next week,” he said.
“June brings ‘boots on the ground’ experience to the role, having farmed in her own right in South Australia and Western Australia up until the late 90’s.
