Joe Robinson elected Chairman of Barwon-Darling Water

Joe Robinson of Australian Food & Fibre (AFF) was elected as the new Chairman of Barwon-Darling Water at an Annual General Meeting in Bourke on last Thursday.

Mr Robinson is the CEO of AFF which has recently purchased two cotton holdings in the Bourke area – Darling Farms and Carbuu.

He replaced Tony Thompson of Afterhours Ag, who has been the Chairman of Barwon-Darling Water Since 2015.

Mr Robinson said he was happy to take on the role – but see the future as a big challenge as government water reform continues and the drought deepens.

“Water users on the Barwon-Darling have some big challenges as the Murray-Darling Basin Plan is completed, and the individual valley Water Resource Plans are finalised.
