Bush to Beach Gala for Bourke Juniors

A group of Bourke Junior Rams travelled to Narrabeen over the weekend for the “Bush to Beach drought relief gala day” organised by Warringah Juniors; the Narrabeen Tigers.

The idea of the tournament came from Lisa Clarke who had been watching the news and thought she would like to help kids from the bush, and try and give them a free weekend away in the city to leave their worries at home.

The organisers arranged all meals and accommodation free of charge and the event was held at the Sydney Academy of Sport in Narrabeen.

Bourke Rams President Liam Rice accompanied Isaac Ford, Elise Smith, Thomas Bowden and Charlie Rice on the trip.

According to Liam “once we parked the car on Friday afternoon we didn’t get into it again until we left Sunday morning. The hospitality shown to all teams was second to none”.
