LLS Board looks to the future

If you think you could make a contribution to the wellbeing of landholders in the Far West, then Local Land Services wants to hear from you.
The Western LLS Board met in Bourke last week and top of the agenda was the succession issue as board members begin transitioning out as their tenure comes to a close.
Chair Ben Barlow said the job is satisfying and has a direct impact on the local community, which he admits can be challenging.
“My message is people will be transitioning off the board and we want to get those positions filled without running around trying to find interested candidates,” he said.
“What makes the role important and rewarding is that you live and die by your actions.
