Get ready for bushfires!

People living in the Far West – in Bourke, Cobar, Brewarrina and further west, are being urged to prepare for bushfires.

The NSW Rural Fire Service is calling on all outback residents to join with RFS volunteers in a “Get Ready Weekend”.

Local residents can get involved in fun family events including kids’ activities, firefighting displays, checking out a fire truck and seeing some of the specialist equipment.

They can also get information and advice about preparing their properties for bush fires.
