Kangaroos cause havoc on Far West roads

Police are urging drivers to take extreme caution after a horror week on our roads which saw four serious crashes across the Far West.
Police say the huge numbers of kangaroos and emus on the roads have created dangerous driving conditions and in at least three of the accidents, kangaroos were the direct cause of the crash.
Commander of Central North Policing District Superintendent Greg Moore said the ‘golden rule’ of driving to conditions should be applied as the dry weather contributes to the extraordinary wildlife numbers on the roads.
