CWA lends a hand in drought

The plight of drought stricken communities has triggered an outpouring of donations from urban areas across Australia.
This week, the CWA had the task of distributing pallet loads of food and household items through its branches in Victoria and NSW.
The Bourke CWA Branch received two pallets on Sunday, and volunteers spent Monday packaging it for local families facing hardship as the drought drags on. The call for food donations came from Lake Tyers Beach president Tanya Pavicevic in Victoria. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
