A million $’s for Council as drought deepens

Bourke Council has received $1 million to spend on drought projects.
And on Monday Council decided on a number of projects which could be eligible for funding.
The projects include $180 thousand for developing the park near the Port of Bourke Hotel, $100 thousand for drought events, $150 thousand for converting the Back of Bourke Exhibition Centre cafe into a conference centre, $200 thousand for village projects, $200 thousand for various sports group grants, $25 thousand for toilets at the Bourke cemetery and $150 thousand for Rural Addressing.
