Kat Robinson wins student of the year

Local resident Kat Robinson has taken out a major vocational excellence award of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Student of the Year for Western Region.

Kat won the award following her year-long course with Tranby National Indigenous Adult Education and Training organisation.

She works in Bourke as a case worker with the Department of Family and Community Services and said she decided to increase her skills and knowledge to help in her profession.
