Tourism Gets a Boost With New Appointment

After a difficult period without a tourism expert to steer one of Bourke's most important economic activities, the Shire Council has finally announced a new Tourism and Events Manager. Fran Carter took up the post this week and brings a sense of excitement and enthusiasm to the role. She has a wealth of experience with 13 years as Tourism and Events Manager at Brewarrina Shire Council as well as a career in fashion, design and merchant banking.
