Helping farmers face the future

Bourke is a community built on the broad shoulders of its citizens, many of whom go above and beyond to contribute to the welfare of the town and its residents. Rural financial counsellor John Beer is one such citizen, supporting farmers through hardship, flood and drought.

John is an unusual fit in the harsh reality of farming in the Far West. He hails from the gentler climes of the United Kingdom but believes it was ‘God’s calling’ for him to accept a post in an outback town.
