The NSW Government is throwing millions of dollars at councils in the Far West to persuade them to sign up to a Joint Organisation of Councils
Deputy Premier John Barilaro has announced a $20 million package for councils to help establish two Joint Organisations, and to fund air services, better roads, tourism and cultural projects in the region.
Mr Barilaro made the announcement at a meeting with representatives from eight Far West councils at Parliament House in Sydney last week.
He said the funding was critical to help councils deliver services for the most remote parts of NSW.
