Colourful Kick Off To Bourke’s Easter Festival

The Colour Run kicked off Bourke’s Festival fun, with more than 200 people taking part in the five kilometre race on Good Friday. The Colour Run, organised by Mark Hollman and volunteers from the Bourke PCYC and with assistance from the Shire, attracted runners, joggers, walkers and spectators, keen to get drenched and coated in colourful chalk powder.

The atmosphere was one of high spirits and chaos as the participants made their way from the Wharf precinct to the Back O’Bourke Exhibition Centre, braving the chalk stations where they were doused in powder before doubling back for the homeward sprint.

The funds raised through the Colour Run will go towards providing more equipment and programs at Bourke’s PCYC.
