$2,000 for Bourke charity

The Bourke Bowling Club’s NAIDOC Week ‘A’ Day Bowls tournament was a huge success with bowlers from Cobar, Cunnamulla and Bourke helping to raise funds for worthy causes.

The most notable beneficiary was the “Blue Robinson Foundation” in Bourke – a local charity that supports families travelling away from home for cancer and other medical treatment.

This year an amount of $2000.00 was presented to Susanne Hand representing the foundation.

Susanne said that she more than happy to accept the donation on behalf of the foundation.

“Contributions like this mean that the Blue Robinson Foundation can help many people in our Shire who need to travel further afield for medical treatment.” […]
