Whooping cough outbreak in Bourke

At least a dozen cases of whooping cough have been notified in the Bourke community, and local health authorities are concerned about this outbreak.
Late last week, the Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS) notified the media and the public about this dangerous and highly contagious disease – asking that people take precautions, especially with children.
