School excursion pushes boundaries

Bourke High School recently held a leadership excursion for students, designed to build confidence, independence, and team connections.
From Monday 12th August until Sunday 18th August, nine Years 7 to 10 students took part in the annual event where they were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones and navigate unfamiliar environments while learning new skills.
The group headed to Sydney and were engaged in a variety of activities across the city, including visits to the Sydney Jewish Museum, laser tag and ice skating at Macquarie Centre, a ghost tour at Cockatoo Island, and kayaking.
They also took part in a scavenger hunt at Hyde Park, problem-solving in escape rooms, and enjoyed evening dinners out, practicing real-world social skills.
