School Circus comes to the classroom

Bourke Public School and the Bourke-Walgett School of Distance Education came together to invite the Circus Challenge to come to town and introduce their students to a wacky and exciting way to keep active.

Admin Manager at the Bourke-Walgett School of Distance Education Kristi Knight said that the main goal of the Circus Challenge is to bring joy to the kids and introduce them to the idea that there are all sorts of interesting ways to move your body and engage your mind.

The performers from Circus Challenge encourage everyone to try new things and make life fun in whatever way you can.

“There were lots of different circus tricks on display such as juggling, plate spinning, poi, hula-hoops and a tiny clown bike to ride,” Ms Knight said

“Each student got to try all that was on offer and then choose which item they enjoyed most to spend more time practicing.

“The circus show was fun and engaging, bringing many smiles and laughs to both students and teachers.” […]
