Presentation brings tears

Back in May 2023 Quilts of Valour made its first presentation of a quilt to a returned serviceman in Lightning Ridge.

The quilt was presented by Mudgee representative Pam Bellhouse, setting a precedent for Lightning Ridge.

Lightning Ridge returned serviceman David Hutchinson and his wife Jane were so impressed with the ceremony that they became Quilts of Valour representatives for the Walgett Shire, freeing up Mrs Bellhouse to continue her good works in the Mudgee area.

On Sunday evening, after a big Easter festival weekend in the Ridge, ex Naval Officer Scott Feeney – together with his family – received a surprise presentation from Quilts of Valour for his dedicated service to his country for 15 and a half years. […]
