Small but mighty, the Louth branch of the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association of New South Wales recently achieved a significant victory in their mission to improve educational opportunities for students in remote areas.

In response to ongoing power supply issues impacting local schools, the ICPA-NSW have successfully lobbied for the installation of permanent generators and solar power systems at both Louth and Wanaaring Public Schools. This crucial development will ensure that these schools remain operational, even during power outages that have become increasingly common in the region.

At this year’s ICPA-NSW Annual Conference in March, the 27 member branches from across the state were invited to submit motions for consideration. These motions, once approved, become official policy positions that the ICPA uses to lobby government officials on behalf of the families they represent. […]
