Local Lightning Ridge author, Jacqueline Gaul, has launched her debut book “The Overcoming” – telling the story of how her life was turned upside down after a still birth.

Jacqueline held an intimate celebration with friends and residents in Lightning Ridge, to speak publicly for the first time about her experiences.

In an emotional presentation, Jacqueline shared about how she had felt a calling to write the book.

“It was one I could not shake,” she said.

“After giving birth at six months, to our stillborn son Jack, my life, my marriage, my world as I knew it would never be the same again,” Jacqueline recalls.

“Life became a rollercoaster, one that eventually came to an end with new beginnings, Jacqueline said.

After the grief of a still birth, Jacqueline said she was inspired to write about her tumultuous grief-stricken experiences in the hope that the book may support others grieving the loss a child through stillbirth and the loss of all that was her life before such a heartbreaking event.” […]
