New Tanker for Bourke Rural Fire service

The Bourke Headquarters Rural Fire Service Brigade has received a much-needed boost with the provision of a new Category 1, Dual Cab Tanker.

The brand-new tanker was handed over to the Captain of the Bourke RFS HQ Brigade Michael Amos, by District Manager of the RFS Far West Team, Inspector Brad Lennon last Thursday.

Mr Lennon said that the arrival of the new $350,000 Category 1, Dual Cab 4WD Tanker would help the local RFS brigade volunteers continue to provide a high-quality level of response to fires and other emergencies within the Bourke brigade area.

“It’s great to see the commitment of Captain Michael Amos and his team of local RFS volunteers who give their time to protect the local community,” Mr Lennon said.

Mr Lennon also thanked the volunteers’ families for their support and understanding. […]
