After COVID restrictions, COVID cases, and road closures kept the doors shut, Muddy Waters Cafe in Brewarrina has finally re-opened.

Owner Belinda Colless said she was excited to have the business running again after what has been a challenging few months.

“We closed at the end of last year, which we normally do for six weeks during the hot weather and come back when school goes back,” Belinda said.

“This year has been a bit different though – we had all those public health restrictions so at the time I decided to hold off re-opening for 10 days and open on February 20.

“Then we had road closures because of the floodwaters, then the Kamilaroi Highway was closed between Brewarrina and Walgett and also from Brewarrina to Bourke.
