Meet Bourke’s Young Woman for 2022
Bourke’s Young Woman for 2022 is Ella Henson.
22-year-old Ella arrived in Bourke from Campbelltown in January and is working as a governess in the Enngonia District.
She is looking forward to meeting everyone and becoming a part of the Bourke community.
A month after the cancelled Bourke Show Ella has been officially named as Bourke’s Young Woman for 2022. She received her sash at last week’s Bourke P and A Show committee meeting at the Port of Bourke Hotel.
Ella hasn’t wasted any time in being involved in activities around the district and is a member of the Ewe’s female rugby union team.
Ella said that she is hoping that the role of Bourke Young Woman, will enable her to be more involved in the community.
“Everyone has been so welcoming already, and I am excited to begin work as Bourke’s Young Woman and maybe bring some new ideas,” Ella said.
