Mark O’Shannessy was re-elected unopposed as President of the Bourke Bowling Club at the club’s annual general meeting on Sunday.

Mark is joined on the executive by newly-elected Vice President Barbara Ebsworth who replaces Austin Stephens, and Treasurer Jim Rice who was also elected unopposed.

Other directors elected at the AGM are Kelly Honeyman, Stephen Chowen, Steve Walsh, Emily Kate Bowden, Adrienne Hayman, and McLean.

Club General Manager Lachlan Ford reported on another successful year despite the interruptions caused by the Covid closures and lockdowns.

“Considering we were often closed due to COVID, the club reported a satisfactory financial result for the year,” Mr Ford said.

“Even though business was affected, the club has continued to provide the normal services to members and has also been able to support a variety of sporting and community organisations in the Bourke district.

“And the club would also like to thank retiring directors Austin Stephens, Scott Willoughby, and Raymond Mackay for their contributions towards the club during the past year,” he said.
