The sun beamed down on a vibrant scene of laughter, splashing, and pure joy as the Lightning Ridge swimming pool and theme park opened its gates for the season on Saturday.

Locals and tourists flocked to this aquatic oasis, signalling the official start of the swimming season in the Ridge.

Paul Gibson, the pool manager, couldn’t have been happier with the turnout.

“It’s fantastic to see everyone coming together to enjoy our facilities,” Paul exclaimed with a broad smile.

“What warms my heart even more is seeing the local parents accompanying their kids and having a family day out. We strongly encourage parents to spend quality time with their children here—it’s what makes our community special.”

The Lightning Ridge pool and theme park offers various aquatic attractions catering to all ages and preferences.

The star of the show is the 50 metre Olympic pool, where swimmers can test their mettle.

Thrill-seekers can’t resist the allure of the big blue waterslide, while the wave pool provides a taste of the beach right in the heart of the Ridge.
