Outback Radio 2WEB, based in Bourke, had its broadcasting licence renewed for another five years term.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) recently informed the licensee of 2WEB, the WREB Co-op Limited, that the ACMA had assessed 2WEB’s licence renewal application and that “accordingly, 2WEB’s licence will be renewed.

Radio Operations Manager at 2WEB, David Sharp, says the board, staff and volunteers at the station are pleased that the renewal was achieved without any fuss.

“Usually, we could expect a host of questions and requests for further information, but on this occasion the ACMA has been happy with the information provided in our application,” Mr Sharp said.
