The Literacy for Life Foundation is running a literacy program in Bourke and Brewarrina this year, from the Bourke Christian Church building on the corner of Tarcoon and Anson Streets

The program is especially designed for Aboriginal adults who struggle with their reading and writing skills.

Project Officer Natasha Lukic says the program is directed by the local Aboriginal community, and anyone who wants to learn to better reading and writing, can contact her on 0455 290 852.

“We use a community ‘campaign’ approach, engaging and training local Aboriginal staff and working at the direction of local Aboriginal community leadership,” Natasha said.
