Kevin to compete at world championships in England

From joining a novice clay target shoot back in 1972 to competing in the World Championships in July this year, Bourke’s Kevin Hatch has come a long way in his chosen sport.
Kevin said he considers it an honour to represent his hometown of Bourke in England in July but said his shooting skills haven’t always been so on point.
“When I was an apprentice at Cobar mines in 1972, they held a novice shoot and I thought I would give it a go,” he said.
“I headed up with an old side by side shotgun and couldn’t hit a bull in the rear end with a handful of wheat with it. Then a mate gave me a lend of his under and over and things got really good after that.”
“Hatchy” said he enjoyed his chosen sport straight away and had some great assistance in honing his skills. […]
