Two new business opportunities have opened up in Brewarrina, and jobs are opening up with the local council.

Brewarrina Shire Council is calling for expressions of interest for the operation of the Brewarrina Caravan Park and council is also looking for a buyer of the former childcare premises in the heart of town.

Council is also interviewing for several job opportunities as the local economy continues to thrive.

General Manager Jeff Sowiak said the popular caravan park presented an ideal opportunity for someone keen to enter the booming tourism industry, as well as the chance to build up the business, and to create a lifestyle on the site.

“What we are looking for is someone to promote the area and the attractions in and around Brewarrina.

“We have some top-notch services here, and we are looking for someone to encourage people to come and stay.

“With no international travel for up to two years, there will be more campers coming through and now is a great time for someone to get into tourism, and build up the caravan park,” Mr Sowiak said.

“The amenities have been completely renovated, it’s right in the centre of town next to the swimming pool and we’re looking for someone who will encourage visitors to come and enjoy all the services and facilities that are on offer here in Brewarrina,” he said.

The contract is for three years with a three-year option.
