It is said life is cyclic, and the Bourke Branch of Isolated Children’s Parents Association of NSW is experiencing that truth firsthand.

The Bourke branch of ICPA-NSW will be hosting the 50th anniversary State Conference on March 30 and 31, 2022, where it all began, here in Bourke.

The event will be opened by the organisation’s patron – the Governor of NSW Margaret Beazley.

Keynote speaker for the conference will be bestselling author, Sam Bailey, and entertainment will be provided by well-known singer-song writer, Jason Owen.

Sam Bailey is a farmer, pilot, husband in addition to being a bestselling author, all accomplished from his wheelchair.

He tells his story in his own unique down-to-earth style and encapsulates the great Australian Spirit of ‘having a go’.

The Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association of NSW has achieved a lot in the last 50 years by raising awareness and advocating for equitable access to education for geographically isolated children.
