Getting more young people on air

A unique collaboration between local recording studio Yellowbelly Studios, Bourke’s schools, and Outback Radio 2WEB is helping young people find their voices through music and media.
Yellowbelly Studios is supported by Nakama Arts through a private initiative funded by Technical Audio Group (TAG).
For some time now, they have provided local students with hands-on experience in music production, sound recording, and podcasting.
“We’re working directly with the young people in the region, helping them to build music and audio recording projects that celebrate their culture and their voices,” Maxwell Twartz, Marketing Manager at Technical Audio Group said.
“It’s about equipping them with the tools, space and confidence to tell their own stories.”
Yellowbelly Studios, a purpose-built facility based in Bourke, has become a hub of creativity and expression. The team there has been collaborating with schools to run workshops and recording sessions tailored to local students’ interests and talents. […]
