Colours of Easter 2021 – Run Easter Bunny, Run!

Entrants in the Good Friday Colour Run well overloaded with fun and colour.

The 2021 Back O’Bourke Easter Festival kicked off in traditional style with the Good Friday Colour Run, this year coordinated by St. Ignatius P&C.

Almost three hundred entrants braved the colourful powder stations and drenchings of water from the fire brigade.

Participants of all ages ran, walked, or pushed prams from the wharf along the levee bank to the Back O’Bourke Exhibition Centre and return.

Treasurer of St. Ignatius P&C Laura Gilliard said committee members were absolutely thrilled with what a huge success the day was.

“It is always a fantastic family activity and super fun way to start the Easter Festival weekend.

“To see the colour, the smiles a mile wide as they cross the finish line and to be part of the atmosphere was so uplifting.
