The Bourke side travelled to Narromine on Saturday afternoon in preparation for their grand final matchup on Sunday morning with Narromine.

Narromine won the toss and took the “runs on the board in a grand final” approach, electing to bat first on what looked to be a decent batting pitch, but an extremely slow outfield. Anything above 150 runs would be a tough chase on Dundas Oval after 30mm of rain.

The Bourke bowling attack got off to a great start, with Mick Willoughby removing the dangerous Lachy Reid for just one run.

Former Bourke boy Adam Davis had a short stay at the crease, snicking one through to the keeper off the bowling of Troy Hayman Jnr for 0. With the score at 2/7 after 5 overs, the Bourke side could not have asked for a better start.
