Bourke youngsters enjoy a week of fun

The collaboration between various community groups in Bourke continued over the school holidays, with their combined efforts delivering an action-packed and fun-filled five days during Youth Week.

The Bourke PCYC was the scene of much of the action and was supported by the lead organisations Maranguka and Mission Australia, with the highlight a development camp led by Col Watego and the TRYP team.

PCYC Manager, George Dixon, said the response from the kids and the support from the community was a testament to that close cooperation of the various agencies for the benefit of Bourke’s young people.

“We ran four night programs over the school holidays so everyone had great fun with that - and a good feed as well,” George said. […]
