Bourke Races a huge drawcard on Easter Sunday

The Bourke Picnic Race meeting was once again a showcase event on Easter Sunday, with the biggest crowd through the gates since the very first Easter race meet nine years ago.

Club President Frank Kerr said he was thrilled that the community, visitors, sponsors, trainers, jockeys, and volunteers continued to support the Easter Sunday race meet.

“It was a really successful day and we had so much positive feedback from the trainers and the racegoers,” he said.

“In the lead up to the races, it can be pretty stressful, but when you get the sort of support we had on Sunday, it makes all that pressure worthwhile.

“We had more than 2000 people through the gate, which was the biggest crowd we’ve seen since that inaugural race meet in 2015. {…]
