Bourke Physie goes from strength to strength

Bourke Physie continues to offer a creative outlet for young Bourke people, with leader, Charlotte McGrory as enthusiastic about the activity as she was when she started the club three years ago.

As if teaching at a local school during the day wasn’t enough, Charlotte then guides keen young dancers in ‘Physie’, a dance method that combines elements of ballet, jazz, hip-hop and a little bit of contemporary dance thrown in for good measure!

Charlotte has around 26 people taking her classes in Bourke which have become an extension of her love of Physie.

“I started Physie when I was 11 years old and when I moved to Bourke to take up a teaching position, I realised the closest form of dance was a long way away,” she said. […]
