The Bourke PCYC has thrown open the doors at last after the public health restrictions around COVID, and new club manager, George Dickson, couldn’t be happier.

George spreads his enthusiasm throughout the club and is committed to reaching out to young people in the community to get them off the streets and into more enjoyable and productive activities.

The PCYC is now back to full strength with after school activities, Friday night drop in, and big plans for the summer holidays.

“We are starting our holiday program from December 17 until the end of school holidays with arts and crafts, excursions to the pool, sports, science experiments, cooking activities, and plenty to keep our young people occupied,” George said.

“It’s a great program and will run right through the holidays, apart from the Christmas break from December 24 to January 3.

“We’ll have our timetable up on our Facebook page in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, kids are welcome to drop in to our after-school program, which runs every day from 3.30-5pm.
