Back O’Bourke Easter Festival this weekend
Local high-jumping hero, Percy Hobson, has been immortalised in a mural that will be officially opened at Bourke on Good Friday.
That’s just one of the many events to pencil in for the Back O’Bourke Easter Festival this weekend.
Mel Milgate, the Economic Development Manager for Bourke Shire Council said the Bourke community was lucky to have such a special piece of art in the community.
“We’re also very lucky to have the history of Percy Hobson as part of our heritage and to have a lot of his family coming home for the celebration,” Ms Milgate said.
“I truly hope that our community of Bourke and our visitors at Easter will make their way up to the water tower for the official opening on Good Friday at 1pm. […]
