World Breastfeeding Week was recognised last week by Western NSW Local Health District, with the launch of a ‘Virtual Breastfeeding Drop-in Room’.

The Drop-in Room provides the opportunity for parents to ask questions and gain assistance with any breastfeeding concerns, in a professional and peer supported environment.

Breastfeeding mums can now log onto the site to gain advice, share experiences, and ask questions, on a weekly basis.

Maria Warren from Western NSW Local Health District Bourke office said the Drop-in Room launched last Wednesday was another way to support breastfeeding mothers.

“Bourke has a good support network for mums and for breastfeeding mums particularly,” Maria said.
