Back O’Bourke Exhibition Centre gets ready for visitors

As the tourism season resumes after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, there will be plenty on offer at the Back O’Bourke Exhibition Centre.

The pandemic decimated what was expected to be a boom season for Bourke following recovery from drought.

Bourke Shire Council Corporate Services Manager Leonie Brown said council had received funding to update some of the displays in buildings 2 and 3, as well as replacing the original film about Bourke which shows in the cinema area in building 1.

“That initial display has been updated and is very good from what I have seen of it so far – it’s looking fantastic,” Mrs Brown said.
