The stage 1 easing of COVID-19 restrictions allows for the celebration of public mass under certain conditions in the Bourke Catholic Parish.
Bishop Columba Macbeth-Green has decreed that mass will only be held weekdays until further restrictions are lifted.
Bishop Macbeth-Green said there will be certain procedures adopted for the celebration of mass, including that a maximum of 10 people only will be present, aside from those involved in liturgical ministries and the faithful must be physically 1.5 metres distant in the pews. Hand sanitiser will be provided as all the faithful must sanitise their hands on entering the church.
