Enngonia welcomes new Police Officer

He is a long way from home, but for Enngonia’s new police officer James Anderson, life in the outback is a welcome change.

Senior Constable Anderson grew up on the Central Coast and after finishing high school, he quickly realised a career in the police force was his ambition.

James graduated from the Goulburn Police Academy at the age of 20 and was appointed to Tuggerah Lakes before moving to the small community of Bombala in the Monaro region.

“I was there for about seven years and then the last seven years I have been based in Sydney in the highway patrol,” James said.

“My wife and I enjoyed our rural spot in Bombala and thought it was time for another change.
