Coping with COVID-19 – Pandemic no barrier to worship

Sunday church services may have no congregations under the spires and spans of Bourke’s church buildings, but Sunday worship is continuing during the pandemic shutdown.
All group church services have been cancelled as part of the social distancing requirements, but Bourke Christians has been quick to find alternatives, most of them online.
Pastor George Mann from the Full Gospel Family Fellowship Church said his church community was remaining connected through Facebook and other online applications.
“The congregation is going well, and we are just encouraging each other to stay in touch,” Pastor George said.
“When we need to talk or share things, we have a private connect group that helps us all keep in touch.
“We share stories, do fun things together, stay in contact, make sure everyone is OK, put stories up and our observations of things we might have seen that will encourage others.
