When all Bourke Easter Festival events were cancelled due to the coronavirus restrictions, local artist Jenny Greentree decided to take her Easter Exhibition online.
“Like so many around the world I have had to make major adjustments in how I do business in this changing time,” Jenny said, “I also wanted to provide an event to lift people’s spirits in this time of uncertainty.”
The online exhibition, “Seasons Come and Seasons Go” was launched at 5pm on Easter Saturday and people from all around Australia and overseas participated in the event.
Facebook posts showed many dressed for the occasion with their drinks and nibbles enjoying the virtual art exhibition.
The pre-recorded show allowed Jenny to communicate with the exhibition visitors on Facebook as the exhibition went live.
Jenny said she was flat out communicating with everyone as they posted their photos, comments and where they live.
